Product Description
This string works with Hunter Douglas, Alta, Bali, Levolor, Kirsch and Graber manufactures. The 1.8mm string is used for faux wood and real wood blinds to pull the blind up and down. This is the internal strings on blinds and is the width of a nickel.
Almost all blinds use the 1.8mm string, but here are a few manufactures:
Alta, M & B, Hunter Douglas, Applause by Hunter Douglas, Levolor, Smith and Noble, Century, Comfortex, Del Mar, Graber, Kirsch, Nordic Light, Verosol, Symphony
How do I know how much string I will need?
Measure the Length and round up to the nearest foot then multiply by 2 and add the width to that number and then multiply that number times the number of strings the blind needs.
Example: 35 1/8" Width X 57 7/8" Length
First I round the Length up to 5' Feet and then multiply by 2 which equals 10. Then I add 10 to 3' feet for the width. Then I take 13' and multiply it by 2 (number of strings I have on my blind) so I need 26' feet of string to restring this blind.
5' X 2 = 10' + 3' = 13' X 2 strings = 26' feet of 0.9mm string to restring my honeycomb shade
